Monday and Tuesday, we worked on a short project about Reconstruction. The goal was to select on effect of Reconstruction, illustrate it, summarize it, and explain it to the class.
First, choose a topic. Look in Chapter 12, Section 2. Choose one of the red sub-headings. All of the information contained in that subheading is your topic. For example, “Public Works Program” is one topic.
Then, read your topic and develop an understanding of the key points. Create an illustration (hand-drawn, colored, on a regular sized piece of copy paper) that highlights these key points.
Third, write a paragraph in which you summarize the key points of your topic and explain how your illustration conveys these key points.
