Tomorrow (Wednesday, June 10) we will take a test on Chapter 12 and the various issues related to Reconstruction.
If you did not get a copy of the Chapter 12 Test Review in class, download it and review the questions. We did not play Review Jeopardy, so there is no game to downlod for this chapter.
The essay prompt is:
The period of Reconstruction (1865 – 1877) was characterized, in part, by a great extension of political and civil rights to African Americans. However, many of these rights were taken away as a system of segregation was set up that would last until the Civil Rights movement of the 1950′s and 1960′s.
Why did Reconstruction come to an end in 1877? Be sure to discuss at least three factors leading to the end of Reconstruction.
Remember, this is the same question that you should have outlined in (CW 12.3) Outline: The End of Reconstruction. Also, remember that you should bring that classwork assignment with you on Wednesday and hand it in after the test.
Finally, remember that you must complete an essay in order to receive a grade for the test. Skipping the essay is not an option.
